In the first half of the Elon football game against Chattanooga, senior wide receiver Terrell Hudgins had three touchdown receptions for a total of 48 yards. This was the first time that Hudgins has recorded three or more touchdown catches in one game.
The last time he had three or more touchdown receptions in one game was on November 10, 2007 when Elon traveled to Charleston, S.C. to take on The Citadel. In that game, Hudgins had four touchdowns for 126 yards. Earlier in that season, Hudgins recorded four touchdowns for 100 yards.
Last season, Hudgins had 10 touchdown receptions and 86 receptions for 1,116 yards.
