I had a lot of fun on the job this week. As the SGA beat reporter, I covered much of the election week and did Q&As with the new executive president and vice-president. I welcomed the constant activity and excitement.
Covering Robin Wright’s speech was also a pleasure. She is an incredibly successful journalist and author, and her dedication to the field is truly inspiring. Her ample use of photos and anecdotes made it difficult to adequately describe the event, but I managed to highlight the most important aspects of her presentation and convey her message to those who weren’t present.
I look forward to profiling our soon-to-be Executive President Darien Flowers this week, as well as exploring SGA budget allocations. A piece on the possible long-term effects of “hyper-connectivity” and constant usage of digital technology is in the works as well. Keep an eye out!
