This past week, I had the opportunity to cover Race to the Ballot, a fantastic event that truly unified the Elon community. I spoke to people of all backgrounds and orientations, all united against the passage of Amendment One. I loved being at the forefront of the action and documenting Elon's response to a pertinent and imminent issue.
I also spoke to several students and faculty members about the upcoming transition to Moodle, which is approaching more quickly than I initially thought. After interviewing Chris Fulkerson, I realized that the decision to switch is indeed pragmatic. The money saved by switching to Moodle will benefit the university greatly in other areas, and we students will have access to more technology as a result.
This week, I look forward to breaking the news of the SGA election results, which will be released Wednesday night. I'm also interested to explore how the SGA budget was allocated last year and how spending may differ in the upcoming year.
