Elon University released its 2014-2015 women's basketball out of conference schedule this morning. The school released the team's conference schedule just over two weeks ago.
Following an exhibition match against Catawba on Nov. 1, the Phoenix will open their season at home against Division II Anderson University on Nov. 14 as part of a double-header with the men's team, who opens its season against Florida Atlantic.
Other key games include a contest at North Carolina State on Dec. 7, a home game against Vanderbilt on Dec. 14 and a Dec. 21 matchup with North Carolina in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Phoenix fell to both the Wolfpack and the Commodores last year.
Elon will also take on former Southern Conference foe Furman in Alumni Gym on Dec. 29. Last year the Phoenix went 0-2 against the Paladins, losing both games by a combined margin of six points.
Last season Elon finished 15-16 (10-8 SoCon) and made it to the semifinals of the conference tournament before being bounced by eventual champion Chattanooga.
