Whether you're at Elon for your final year or your first semester, the campus may look different from your last visit.
First, Daniel Commons got an upgrade. Now there's no excuse for Danieley residents to skip breakfast because Einstein Brothers' Bagels opened today.
That's not the only new addition to the Danieley Neighborhood. There's a classroom, a student lounge, and a new patio overlooking Lake Verona.
Still, the changes are ongoing. Construction continues on the Danieley Recreation Building. The 15,000 square foot building will be a recreation facility for Danieley residents. It will have two full-size basketball courts and a fitness area. The building is expected to be ready this fall.

The changes go beyond the Danieley Neighborhood. The World Languages and Cultures department already located in Carlton expanded their office space and created a common area for studying on the ground floor. There's also now a way to get to the stairs from the main entrance if you go through the office.
If you make the trip to Arts West, you'll see that construction there has finished as well. Arts West has added two recording studios, a large and small ensemble recording rooms, a music technology classroom, three practice rooms, a seminar room and a music department addition too. In all, 4,000 feet was added to the space.
Physical changes aren't the only difference, Elon Greek Life changed its name to Elon Fraternity and Sorority Life. More organizations are rebranding and academics are expanding as well. Now students who have declared a double major will get an advisor in each major, to make scheduling easier.
The Truitt Center is adding a weekly "20 Minutes Still" program on Wednesday. From 12:10 to 12:30 this program asks participants to be in tune with themselves and put down all the electronics by sitting in silence.
