Starting at 5 p.m. on Sept. 25, all on-campus Elon University dining will be grab-and-go through Sept. 30, according to an email for the Chair of the Ready & Resilient Committee Jeff Stein.
Stein did not respond to Elon News Network's immediate phone call for comment.
There will be no indoors seating at dining halls available and students are encouraged to eat at outdoor tents, patio tables or other spaces where physical distance can be kept.
The no visitor policy is also set to end on Sept. 30. Students are also only allowed to enter their own residential building and can’t have guests over. Students who violate this policy may face probation or removal from their housing.
Stein also asks students in the email to go on a “temporary social hiatus” in which students are asked to limit their social circle to one to three other people. Beyond those people, students are encouraged to wear a mask.
This comes after Elon University moved to Level 3 High Alert four days ago due to the increase of COVID-19 cases on campus. Since then the school has had a total of 52 cases.
