After its most successful season since joining the Colonial Athletic Association, Elon University’s volleyball team earned several conference postseason awards.
Head Coach Mary Tendler earned CAA Coach of the Year for the first time in her career. Tendler led the Phoenix to an 11-5 CAA record this season, the most wins the team has had since joining the conference in 2014.
Senior Haylie Clark was named CAA Setter of the Year, the first Elon setter to take home the award. Clark ranked third in the conference with a career high 868 assists on the season, including six matches where she registered at least 40.
The CAA named senior outside hitter Leah Daniel, who led the league in kills this season with 369, to the all-conference first team, and named Clark and junior middle blocker Jenn Krzeminski to the all-conference second team. Additionally, freshman outside hitter Sydney Love earned a spot on the All-CAA Rookie Team.
The Phoenix will play in the semifinals of the CAA Tournament on Nov. 19 against either College of Charleston or Hofstra University.
