Members of Elon’s Class of 2022 will gather Under the Oaks on Tuesday, May 17, for a senior baccalaureate ceremony. Baccalaureate is one of Elon’s traditions meant to celebrate and inspire the graduating class as they prepare for the rest of their careers.
The ceremony will integrate Elon’s traditions to celebrate diversity, community, light and achievement, acting as a reflection of religious and spiritual traditions for Commencement Week, according to a press release. Lecturer of religious studies L.D. Russell will address the graduation class alongside University President Connie Book.
The Senior Baccalaureate will be followed by the senior celebration on Wednesday, May 18, in Rhodes Stadium. Families can join members of the graduating class at Commencement Week events on Thursday, May 19, and Friday, May 20.
