As the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cited an increase in COVID-19 cases President Biden just extended the travel mask mandate by an additional 15 days.
Freshman Izzy Jacobs is flying home to Philadelphia for the Easter holiday and said she would still wear a mask if the travel mandate was lifted.
“I think it makes sense to have masks on airplane because people are coming and going from into different places so you don't know where they're coming from and who they're around and you also don't know who they're going to take it to possibly”
The mandate applies to all people that are traveling by public transportation, airplane, or ride share services through May 3.
