Elon University football walk-on Jon Seaton signed a major name, image and likeness deal with Outback Steakhouse. The junior is a well-known Tiktok influencer with more than 1.8 million followers on his account.
Three others join Seaton to become partners with the restaurant chain — fellow TikTok entertainer and University of Michigan wide receiver A.J. Henning and two of the top running backs in the country, University of Wisconsin’s Braelon Allen and University of Georgia’s Kendall Milton.
As of July 1, 2021, college athletes can make money off their name, image and likeness.
Upon joining the Outback TeamMATES program, Allen and Milton will be made into NFTs, which can be redeemed for player memorabilia and $100 off Outback catering, and Seaton and Henning will create content for the chain. Over the last year, more than 80 athletes across 38 schools and 15 NCAA sports have partnered with Outback, according to an Oct. 25 press release from Excel Sport Management.
The program has also received more than 450 applications and plans to accept an additional 50 athletes in the coming months. The four athletes plan to use their partnership to donate meals to several Boys and Girls Clubs.
