A new media rights deal has been signed between the Colonial Athletic Association, CBS Sports and FloSports, according to a press conference held by CAA commissioner Joe D’Antonio Feb. 9. The CAA encompasses 13 full member teams, one of which being Elon University.
The deal is a four-year extension that will give the conference more nationally-televised basketball games. The CAA and FloSports relationship will be strengthened and held up through the 2026-27 season, according to FloSports Vice President Mike Levy.
In addition, in the 2023-24 regular season, 20 games throughout the season will be televised on CBS Sports. It also announced the possibility for more in both men’s and women’s, depending on schedule availability.
Since 2017, only the CAA men’s basketball semifinals and finals have been aired regularly on CBS Sports with a few regular season games seen in between. The 2023 CAA women’s basketball championship will be aired starting this March.
The CAA men’s basketball championships will be held in Washington D.C. from March 3 to 7. The CAA women’s basketball championships will be held in Towson, Maryland from March 8 to 12.
