Assistant Vice President for Facilities Management Tom Flood is set to leave Elon University after a 20-year career on campus. Flood will become the associate vice president for facilities operations at the University of Delaware at the beginning of next month.
Flood began his career at Elon in 2003 as the director of landscaping and campus landscape architect. From there, he was promoted to the associate director of the physical plant in 2011 and transitioned to his current role in 2019. His role now at Elon is to manage all facilities services and sustainability. At UD, Flood will oversee central plant operations, parking and mail services.
The announcement of Flood’s departure from Elon comes just after Jeff Stein, vice president of strategic initiatives, announced he will also be leaving Elon to become president of Mary Baldwin University.
