The Gender and LGBTQIA Center at Elon University hosted its annual spring pride event on April 12 at Young Commons. The event was open to the public in hopes of educating the community on LGBTQ+ identities, this year with the theme “Flower Power.”
GLC graduate assistant Vanessa Truelove said the center hopes to uplift and empower students.
“Our aim and goal for every Pride event is just to highlight LGBTQIA identifying students on campus and to provide a space where they can come and celebrate who they are and just spend time being,” Truelove said.
