OnTrack, Colleague and Entrinsik Informer was down June 29 to July 2. Elon’s Technology Update sent nine email updates to the Elon community in total.
As of 4:41 p.m. July 2, Elon Technology Update sent an email stating that OnTrack and Colleague are now accessible to the Elon community. The update included that the issue was related to connectivity problems, and no database information was at risk.
Elon students access grades, submit timesheets, register for classes, buy course books, view their student financial aid and more on OnTrack.
Colleague and Entrinsik Informer are Elon websites used by faculty and staff. Colleague is the Elon student database. The site holds student information such as addresses and login information. Entrinsik Informer is a tool used by IT to access information from Colleague.
Students with on campus jobs were required to submit timesheets by July 1 at 11:59 p.m. These timesheets are normally approved by July 2 at 11:59 a.m. but have not yet due to the technological issues.
Rebecca Beck, director of campus technology support and Daniel Statum, communication strategist for IT, directed Elon News Network to Elon’s accounting department.
Director of Payroll Armeka Ware was unavailable for immediate comment.
