Elon will face host and defending CAA champion Towson University tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. The winner will receive an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
Elon will face the University of Mississippi Rebels tomorrow at approximately 9:00 p.m in the consolation bracket. The Rebels lost to Marquette University 78-72 in its quarterfinal.
During the Nov. 18 Elon University SGA business meeting, members heard an update about flu vaccination rates on campus, the new E-alert system and the updated registration process for the upcoming academic year.

Last season, the Phoenix reached its first ever Colonial Athletic Association Tournament championship game as an eight seed. Though the team lost, falling just one game short of an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament, it was the closest the program has ever been to reaching March Madness.

The Phoenix return to action on Thursday, Nov. 18 in the first round of the Charleston Classic, a three-day invitational in South Carolina, against the West Virginia University Mountaineers, a member of the Big 12 conference.

With Saturday’s win against Towson, the Phoenix are 5-5 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Elon faces the University of Rhode Island on Senior Day at Rhodes Stadium on November 20 to close the season. A win against Rhode Island would give the program its first winning season since 2018, when the Phoenix also finished 6-5.
The Elon University men’s basketball team came away from its 2021 home opener with its first win of the season, as the Phoenix defeated the Randolph College WildCats in an impressive offensive display, 107-62.
