Elon baseball shut out by Indiana State

Coming off a loss against nationally-ranked East Carolina University on Tuesday, Elon University baseball (6-3) lost its second game in a row to Indiana State University (3-5). The Phoenix was shut out by the Sycamores 3-0.

Millennial mayors endorse Pete Buttigieg for president

Mayor of Burlington Ian Baltutis '08 is among many millennial mayors across the nation who have endorsed former South Bend Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg for president. The group — Mayors for Pete — is actively working on the ground within their individual communities to rally support on behalf of Buttigieg. Baltutis said as mayors, they were excited to see him step up and run for national office.

Take Back the Night event supports survivors

Students, faculty, and members of the Elon community gathered for the semi-annual Take Back the Night event on Feb. 27. According to the Gender and LGBTQIA Center’s website, the event is "a student speak-out that is meant to empower and support survivors of gender-based violence.”

Trauma-informed yoga promotes a safe space on campus

From lighting, to set-up to sound, every detail was taken into consideration for the trauma-informed yoga session hosted by Elon’s Gender & LGBTQIA Center (GLC) in the McBride Gathering space on Wednesday night. For Elon University counselor and yoga instructor Allison Agresti, each element of the practice is essential in making sure her clients feel safe and empowered during their yoga practice and lives.
