BURLINGTON – A recently fixed power line on Briarcliff Road was suspected to be the source of power outages on Elon University's campus. As of 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, power has been restored to all affected areas of campus.
Wendy Williams and other members of Physical Plant race to clear campus of debris caused by Hurricane Michael. The storm showered Alamance County with 2.5 inches of rain and had wind gusts up to 56 mph, leaving more than a dozen trees down and plenty of debris to clean.
Moseley Center opened as a student shelter for those staying in residences without power. The building was opened to the student body after the announcement of the continued power outage in the Station at Mill Point and across South Campus.
No. 5 Elon Football (4-2) fell to the University of Delaware (4-2) on Saturday 28-16. Elon was hampered by injuries that could prove to be much more costly than losing this game. This loss comes just one week after beating James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Local children raise money for victims of Hurricane Florence

After Hurricane Florence hit the Carolina coast last month, Elon University students are searching for ways to help victims. Director of the Kernodle Center for Service Learning Mary Morrison organized a group of volunteers to travel to Fayetteville, North Carolina.
The Phoenix remains winless all-time against the Dukes, now sitting at a 0-10 career record. Senior outsider hitter Kam Terry said, “JMU is our biggest rival in the CAA, so we always come into the game really really excited, trying to get the win.”
