The Phoenix will take on Hofstra again tomorrow in the final game of the series. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. After the final game of the series, Elon will travel to Delaware to continue CAA play next weekend, with three games on April 2 and 3. The series begins with a doubleheader starting Saturday at 12 pm.
Elon will host William & Mary on March 30 at 7 p.m. in its first Colonial Athletic Association game. Hexter said the team still needs to improve both offensively and defensively prior to the matchup.
Elon is now 11-10 on the season and has lost three straight games. The team will have two opportunities to avenge this loss, as it hosts Hofstra on March 26 and March 27 at Latham Park.
Elon travels to face 65th ranked Clemson University on Sunday, who Charlotte defeated earlier this season. The match will begin at 4 p.m.
The Elon University women’s tennis team dominated in both singles and doubles to win 6-1 against the Norfolk State University Spartans.

Elon University’s Student Government Association met for its final meeting Thursday, March 24. At the meeting Dean of Students Jana Lynn Patterson gave an update on student health and Executive Treasurer Caroline Penfield talked about SGA’s Acorn Fund.
Emily Sharpe was elected as mayor in 2021, where she is the second female mayor of the town since Beth Schmidt resigned 25 years ago. Previously, she was the seventh woman to serve on the Board of Aldermen when elected in 2017.

Coming from just down the road at Wake Forest University, Jonathan McElderry currently serves as the school’s assistant dean of students and executive director of the school’s Intercultural Center. McElderry will start at Elon University in July.
President Joe Biden nominated Jackson at the end of February after Justice Stephen Breyer announced his retirement. Jackson is currently a federal judge in the D.C. appeals circuit. Leaders in the Senate have set a final vote goal of April 8. If confirmed, Jackson will be the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.
