Carnival on the commons

Elon’s Student Union Board hosted the annual fall carnival on Young Commons Aug. 26 from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. where students gathered with snacks and games.

Meal plan vs. meal prep: the cost of eating habits at Elon University

In dining halls, students are given access to a variety of stations that can cater to different dietary needs and restrictions. According to the Elon Dining Website, dining hall meals are made with “responsibly sourced” ingredients, 20% of which ​​are grown, harvested or produced within 150 miles of campus and contain no “artificial ingredients, additives or synthetic chemicals.”

Elon University sees changes to campus

This summer, a number of construction projects were completed at Elon University. From the installation of new outdoor classrooms to the renovation of Carolina Hall, campus underwent major renovations before the start of the 2022-23 academic year.

Biden announces plan to provide student loan cancellation for millions

President Joe Biden announced his plan to provide $10,000 in debt cancellation for millions of Americans and up to $10,000 more for people with great financial need. The long-awaited plan was part of Biden’s original campaign promises and is eligible only for current students who took out loans prior to July 1, 2022. Biden will deliver remarks on the plan at 2:15 p.m.

Elon University announced it will extend and expand its partnership with TimelyCare, the virtual telehealth portal that provides students with free 24-hour access to medical and mental health hotlines, into the 2022-23 academic year on Aug. 11.
