Lacrosse falls to UVA in season opener

Elon University women’s lacrosse fell in the home opener to the University of Virginia 11-4 on Saturday, Feb. 16. Despite Elon's defensive effort, the short burst from the offense in the second half was not enough to match the fast-paced attack of the Cavaliers.

Men's basketball falls to William and Mary 84-74

Elon men's basketball lost its fourth straight game Saturday to the College of William and Mary 84-74. The Phoenix were unable to stop William and Mary's junior forward Nathan Knight, who dropped 35 points in a dominant display of power.

Elon University men's basketball came out with a win in the final seconds of the game against the University of Delaware on Thursday, Jan. 31, in Schar Center. This second straight victory marks the team's first pair of back-to-back wins this season.

Football welcomes in new recruiting class

In Tony Trisciani's first official week as the new head coach of Elon University football, he has helped seal the deal with 11 future student-athletes. These players have all signed their National Letters of Intent to play in the 2019-2020 season. Five of the 11 are from North Carolina.

Phoenix falls to No. 25 Furman

Elon University men’s basketball trails the Paladins of Furman University 39-29 at halftime. Elon found a rhythm in the middle of the of the half to get back in the game, but fell silent down the stretch, scoring just two points in the final nearly six minutes.

Men's basketball falls to Boston University

Despite a hard-fought battle, Elon University men’s basketball (3-5) fell to Boston University 65-58 at Schar Center. Elon and the Terriers went back and forth trading the lead in the second half, but in the end, mental mistakes proved costly, and Elon fell short of a big win for its Saturday matinee.
