The Elon Global Engagement Center is ending the first year of its new diversity, equity and inclusion plan with a progress evaluation to be released this month.
Some Elon University students have received the COVID-19 vaccines as essential workers. Junior Caroline Wolfe and Senior Lindsay Barclay were offered the vaccines as Emergency Medical Technicians. Both students jumped at the opportunity to get vaccinated to slow the spread of the virus.
Twin Lakes has been able to administer over 800 doses of the vaccine. All but one of the residents in their Memory Care facility, a state-certified program for adults with dementia, are now fully vaccinated. Prior to their appointment, the administration completes the scheduling, forms and screenings for the residents.
