In a battle for its first conference win of 2023, the Elon University lacrosse team fell short to Hofstra University, 17-12. A back-and-forth first quarter eventually became a Hofstra lead which the Pride held for the remainder of the afternoon. The Pride entered Rudd Field with a six-game losing streak, snapping it with a solid offensive performance.
In a conference matchup, the Elon University lacrosse team could not keep up with the No. 6 ranked team in the nation, Stony Brook University, losing 17-5. The Seawolves led the entire time in its first series matchup against the Phoenix.
Despite a tremendous defensive effort, Elon University women’s lacrosse team lost to Virginia Commonwealth University 9-8 in overtime. Freshman midfielder Anna Hackett opened up the scoring for the Phoenix with a goal within the opening minute. The Rams followed up with a 3-0 run led by two goals from senior attacker Juliana George.
In the home opener of its 10th season as a varsity program, the Elon University women’s lacrosse team lost a close contest to Old Dominion University, 12-11.

The Elon University men’s basketball team came away from its 2021 home opener with its first win of the season, as the Phoenix defeated the Randolph College WildCats in an impressive offensive display, 107-62.
