Elon community, students celebrate Jewish new year
Sept. 26 is the second night of the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. The holiday marks the start of the High Holy Days season and is celebrated with special foods, gatherings and prayers.
Cooper Lyon '26 is studying strategic communications and political science at Elon University. Lyon serves as digital brand manager at Elon News Network. In this role, Lyon focuses on branding and cohesiveness across all platforms within the organization. When she is not reporting, Lyon enjoys reading, socializing and attending local music events.
