A year into pandemic, professor mental health suffers

Professor of psychology CJ Fleming — who specializes in clinical psychology and mental health — said she has noticed two main things when considering professors’ mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic: fatigue and capacity for working memory. She said fatigue is probably what has affected her most, since she has had to reformat many of her consistently taught classes to fit an online or hybrid format.

Panhellenic recruitment moves online

Now that Elon University’s Panhellenic Association has announced that 2021 sorority recruitment will be officially moved to a virtual format because of the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, many freshmen like  are wondering what joining a fraternity or sorority will look like this year.

Class of 2020 employed graduate rate decreases due to pandemic

Elon University’s graduates have experienced the hardships of the job market during the pandemic, considering they were sent home during the spring semester of their senior years and are now struggling to obtain employment. Elon’s Student Professional Development Center reported a 15% decrease in graduates who have accepted job offers.
